Suction Controller is a sleek solution to the challenge of switching dust extraction between two tools or bleeding excess suction. It is ideal for use in small or large workshops, or on-site, and provides full control over the ratio of airflow through each port.

Simple and intuitive sliding adjustment

Control the amount of suction going to each port simply by sliding Suction Controller left or right. Get full suction at either end, or position Suction Controller anywhere in the middle to share suction with both ports. This is ideal for tools with two dust extraction ports like routers, for bleeding excess suction when working with sanders and sanding blocks, and for sharing the dust extractor with another user.

Maximize one dust extractor and save time and money

Two dust extractors cost twice as much, weigh twice as much, take up twice as much space, and require twice as much maintenance. Suction Controller allows you to switch between tools in a flash so your workflow isn’t interrupted. No more searching for hose ends and no more lost time exchanging hoses. Compact and minimal design

Space is valuable. Whether you work in a condo, basement, garage, mobile workshop or other small shop, you fully understand. If your dust extractor lives besides or under your bench, you understand. Bulky things are hard to store, harder to work around, and more likely to be damaged. For a mobile dust extractor, a long Y-splitter is a big space waster.

The VAC/CT SWITCHER-D (D stands for “direct”!) is simple and compact, adding only a couple inches to the length of the dust extractor with no downsides compared to a conventional Y-splitter. Further, once installed, it looks like part of the tool.

Better than a Y splitter

Y splitters direct suction two ways so you can have two tools connected at once. That means, both tools have the same amount of suction which doesn’t make sense, since tools like saws and routers require more airflow than ones like sanders and joiners. Further, unless you remove a hose and cap an inlet, suction is ALWAYS flowing both ways. So, if you’re hopping back and forth between two tools, you’re only getting half the suction at each. That is far from optimal.

Easy and secure tool-free installation

VAC/CT SWITCHER-D Suction Controller mounts directly to your dust extractor without tools. It was designed for Festool’s CT 26/36/48 dust extractors but the 50mm (2 inch) port connects to most other dust extractors and shop vacuum systems. The precision taper fit allows secure mounting without tools. All that’s required is a good push for a secure connection. In fact, the fit is so secure that in our testing, we found we could pick up the entire dust extractor by the hose.
