The dimensions of my stool are as tall as my tool chest high, a little wider than my bum, and as deep as the stock I had was. (OK, the non-smart-ass answer is: 27 1/2″ x 15 3/4″ x 6 3/8″).
It is made from Scots pine and European steamed beach.
Upside down, the stool’s stretchers are exactly the same height as my saw bench (well, exact enough for my work). Right side up it is the same height as my tool chest. This way I can get a little extra functionality out of something that sucks up some of the valuable real estate in my 100 sq. ft. shop.
This is great ideas and work. A good stool!
