Passion Is…

Passion is waking up because you’re excited to start work.
Passion is monitoring the industry trends and woodworking forums daily.
Passion is missing the bus because you got caught up in reading a magazine.
Passion is looking at trees and seeing potential in furniture form.
Passion is always thinking about projects and figuring out how to build them.
Passion is always looking for a better way – experimenting with new techniques.
Passion is reading all you can on a subject, maintaining constant exposure.
Passion is sharing knowledge and experiences to help others.
Passion is constantly looking for inspiration.
Passion is waking up in the middle of the night to jot down an idea.
Passion is waking up, going out to the shop, coming up for dinner, then back out afterwards.
Passion is working outside well past dark just because you can.
Passion is working in the freezing or blistering temperatures because you want to.
Passion is having sawdust in your hair instead of dandruff.
Passion is carrying home a 100lb log.
Passion is believing in what you do.
Passion is wanting to improve woodworking.
Passion is never giving up.
Passion is wanting to do nothing else.
Passion is living the dream.

  1. I love this post, it is so true it is like those thoughts were pulled from my head, great job. My friends and family are always saying my head is in the “wood”. I am going to send it to my family so they can understand my passion for woodworking. Thanks for letting me know I am not alone.

I would be delighted if you left a comment!
