A couple weeks ago, I got an e-mail from a friend that went something like this:
You must be busy working on some project lately as I haven’t heard much from you. Don’t tell me you have started a new job!
I replied:
No, I haven’t started a new job. But I have started another business!
Recently, I joined forces with another woodworker, Garth Schafer, and together we started Time Warp Tool Works. We will make our first appearance at the end of this month at Woodworking in America, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Our first products will be moulding and rabbet planes – we have built working prototypes and are currently preparing for production. You can subscribe to the Time Warp Tool Works e-mail list on our website and we’ll update you with our progress into the world of tool making!
Flair Woodworks, my first business, is not going anywhere. In fact, I’ve been working on a new chair and I am currently sitting in prototype #3. Stay tuned right here for progress reports! This chair is something unlike any other you’ve seen before.
Here is a slideshow exhibiting some of the pieces created at Flair Woodworks.
Good luck in this new Time Warp Tool Works journey!
Best,
Hey Chris, great news! Looking forward to seeing you at WIA!
