Celebration of Wood:  Form and Function

In partnership with the Celebration of Wood Fair, the Port Moody Arts Centre Gallery is hosting an exhibition that shows many of the ways wood can be used.

Visitors to the gallery will see how artists have portrayed wood in its many forms, from images of trees in their natural environment to highly refined and crafted pieces made for personal use.  Take in the chance to view works using contemporary techniques beside designs celebrating traditional forms.

The exhibition runs from July 18th until August 11th.  Opening reception is Thursday July 18 from 6pm-8pm.

Celebration of Wood Fair

A week from now, I’ll be at Port Moody Arts Centre for the Celebration of Wood Fair.  The show will be open Saturday July 20 from 10am-5pm and I’m really looking forward to showing my work and seeing the wide variety of other exhibitors – all wood-related, of course.  There will be a silent auction and food, as well.  (Wood chips anybody?)
